Archeology

The Corato APS ETS Sub Center has always been attentive to the protection and valorization of the submerged archaeological heritage thanks to its A rcheoSUB Nucleus which boasts 6 archaeologists and has been collaborating since 2016 with the University of Bari "Aldo Moro" , alongside Dr. Giacomo Disantarosa, in various underwater archaeological prospecting operations.

Since 2011 , the APS ETS Corato Sub Center , making use of the support of specialists internal and external to the A rcheoSUB Nucleus, annually organizes the introductory course to Underwater Archaeology , open to divers and non-divers, which includes a first theoretical part , composed of various seminars on Underwater Archaeology , and a second practical part , which allows those who already hold an underwater license (at least First Level, OWD), to obtain the Artifact Diver underwater specialty certification (according to IDEA teaching).
